With only 7 previous owners ( not many for a car of its age )

First the bodywork
The car underwent a full shell restoration including the underside which is also painted to a high gloss black finish ,
The outside of the car is one of the best i have seen for a long time , with arrow straight panels and a high Gloss mirror finish paint that is simply outstanding , and with all panels gapped correctly this is as good as they get .
The interior is better than you would expect for a car of its miles , the door panels are very good and with an uncracked dash this looks a fraction of its covered miles ,
The seats again are far better condition than the miles would have you believe .
The headliner has also been replaced and sag free .
The standard radio has been replaced in favour of a more modern system that works well and has all the booklets / instructions in the history file .
The wheels have been refurbished again to a fantastic standard and are wrapped with Toyo 888 tyres .

there is a dyno read out showing 511BHP – But at that time it wasn’t holding onto its boost and required additional W/Gate springs, which were fitted – Ron at HT Racing said it would make around 540BHP after
The engines connected to a standard T5 casing but obviously with all that power, everything is moving a tad too fast for a standard box to cope– so it was sent to Bernie at competition transmissions who machined the internals to fit a quaife semi helical gear set inside, this is complimented by a gripper diff again in the standard casing, with everything looking completely OE underneath, which extends to the genuine rear trailing arms which at the time were fitted (at great expense) with graham goode rose jointed bushes………………AP clutch (not a paddle)
When it was restored it was treated to new genuine ford rear lights/valeo headlights/new repeaters/winscreen/rubbers-various other oe trims inc genuine ford kit fitting fixings and several parts new when you could buy new!!
New OE ford badges (in the correct blue) both mint.
New genuine ford sunroof rubber seal fitted – new door window rubbers – also genuine oe which remain supple as the car rarely see’s sunshine and is never left sitting in it
This car simply needs to be seen to be fully appreciated
There are 2 folders full of invoices that must add up to over 40 / 50k , so you can see this car has wanted for nothing .
There are also invoices for servicing and previous MOTs
If you are looking for a simply outstanding rs500 that performed as good as it looks then this will be the car for you . The fact that it looks a totally standard car makes it even better giving the modern performance car a false sense of security that the will show this old sluggish icon who is the boss when in fact this car will out perform most cars on the road still today .
